Gerardo Seoane’s agent quashes Borussia Mönchengladbach exit rumors | OneFootball

Reports emerging yesterday concerning a Sevilla FC contract offer for Borussia Mönchengladbach head coach Gerardo Seoane were quickly refuted. Seoane’s own agent José Noguera – responding to an enquiry from Florian Plettenberg denied that his client was considering leaving the Bundesliga.

Noguera flatly denied that an offer from Sevilla existed. It nevertheless does remain the case that Seoane’s current BMG contract is set to expire at the end of next season. No reports of Gladbach engaging in extension negotiations with him have emerged.

Seoane’s win percentage at Gladbach through two full seasons stands at 32 percent. A 10th-place finish this year constituted an improvement over a 14th-place finish in the 2023/24 Bundesliga campaign, but the foals have once again missed out on Europe for the fourth consecutive season.

The Niederrheiner last contested European football during the 2020/21 season under head coach Marco Rose. After losing Rose to Dortmund that year, and the departure of long-time sporting director Max Eberl the following season, the club has been unable to rise above mid-table.
