Germain Targowski to take over FBBP 01 as Gilles Garnier steps aside | OneFootball

FBBP 01 will be taken over by entrepreneur Germain Targowski, who will become president, with long-serving Gilles Garnier moving to president delegate. The club announced the change at a Thursday morning press conference.

The Ligue 3 side preserved their status by a narrow margin. Targowski, 43 and based in Lens, had tried to buy Beauvais late last year without success.

He arrives with former professional Sébastien Piocelle as director of football. The ex Nantes and Bastia midfielder, 47, most recently served as Beauvais’s general manager in N2 from July 2024 to November 2025.

The incoming investors will contribute to the club’s budget planned for Ligue 3.

Targowski said the project would run in two phases, first injecting fresh funds to help the club pass the DNCG review on 1 June, then laying firmer foundations. He added that survival would be the initial target next season and described himself as a builder, not a benefactor.

Garnier said new investment was necessary, noting the club had sought backers for three years as its economic model became hard to sustain. He called the project human, reliable and viable, and said it should allow the club to operate more serenely.
