Germany’s national team players have offered free transport for their supporters’ travel to their final Group E game of the World Cup.
A report in The Athletic suggests that the four-time World Cup winners are willing to help their fans out in the USA, Mexico & Canada.
Germany are due to face Ecuador in New Jersey on Thursday 25 June, but the game is the last thing on supporters' lips currently.
Much of the discussion has centred on the costs of transfer tickets from downtown New York to the New Jersey Stadium.
In response, a group of senior players, led by captain Joshua Kimmich, have tried to ease some pressure by subsidising the journey.
The outrage is over the round-trip transit train to the stadium which is set to cost €130 – a hefty jump up from it's average €11 fare.
Furthermore, there is also no concession fares available for either senior citizens or children, adding to supporters' frustrations.
