Germany's Jonas Urbig out of March friendlies, Dahmen called up | OneFootball

Germany's Jonas Urbig has withdrawn from the squad with a right knee capsule injury. He will miss the March friendlies against Switzerland and Ghana.

The 22-year-old Bayern Munich goalkeeper sustained the problem on Thursday, 26 March, while on international duty. Julian Nagelsmann said it was a precautionary decision, adding the issue was not serious and Urbig could have continued training, but he did not want to push him.

Augsburg goalkeeper Finn Dahmen has been called up to replace him for both fixtures.

The setback comes as the youngster could have been in contention for a first senior cap.

Urbig has made 22 appearances for Germany at youth level, including eight for the under-21s.
