Getafe star the subject of Leeds United transfer approach | OneFootball

A member of the midfield ranks at La Liga outfit Getafe is attracting summer interest by way of English side Leeds United.

That’s according to The Athletic, who point towards Christantus Uche as the player in question.

Midfielder Uche is for his part fresh off an impressive debut campaign in the colours of the aforementioned Getafe.

After linking up with the Azulones from Ceuta last summer, the Nigerian international went on to rack up 33 La Liga appearances, notching four goals and six assists along the way.

Making these numbers even more impressive was the fact that they came from a whole variety of positions, as Uche repeatedly showed off his valuable versatility.

With such excellence, though, comes inevitable outside interest.

As revealed by The Athletic on Friday, alongside a number of Serie A clubs, Leeds United have ‘asked Getafe about Uche’s situation’.

It is added that the 22-year-old himself would be interested in a move to the Premier League, with his contract at the Estadio Coliseum containing a release clause set at €25 million.
