According to L'Équipe, Ghana have named a 28-man provisional World Cup camp squad, omitting Salis Abdul Samed but including Kojo Peprah Oppong. The dates overlap with the Ligue 1/L2 play-off schedule.
The Black Stars are training in Cardiff ahead of a friendly against Wales on 2 June. Carlos Queiroz has called 28 players to prepare for a tournament staged in the Americas from 11 June to 19 July.
Several France-based players feature, notably Nice’s Kojo Peprah Oppong.
Peprah Oppong has also been named in the OGC Nice group for Tuesday’s first leg at AS Saint-Étienne at 20:45. His availability for Friday’s return in Nice is uncertain. Saint-Étienne’s Augustine Boakye, also slated for the first leg, is likewise on Ghana’s list.
Jordan Ayew, Antoine Semenyo and Inaki Williams are expected to lead the attack, listed with Leicester, Manchester City and Athletic Bilbao respectively.
The squad also includes Auxerre’s Elisa Owusu, Gideon Mensah and Marvin Senaya, plus Rennes’ Alidu Seidu and Lyon’s Ernest Nuamah, who has played only 32 minutes this season with OL after recovering from a ruptured left knee cruciate ligament suffered in April 2025.
