Giant mural in Lens city centre honours Coupe de France triumph | OneFootball

A giant mural has been painted beside the town hall in Lens to honour the Coupe de France triumph.

According to L'Équipe, the artwork shows an outsized Coupe de France, created to mark the trophy win. Lens defeated Nice 3-1 in the final on 22 May.

The city, still buoyed by the post-final festivities, now has a striking reminder in the heart of town.

Local graffiti artist Bertrand Parse painted the cup in blood and gold at the same spot where the Stade de France heroes celebrated before a packed Place Jean-Jaurès.

The piece is almost 15 metres high and took around 80 hours of work, completed within a week.
