Giorgi Kochorashvili has suggested he could reunite with close friend Carlos Álvarez at Sevilla, with the club monitoring the Levante playmaker’s situation.
According to Onda Deportiva Valencia, Sevilla have recently spoken with Levante to understand Álvarez’s position. He is under contract until 2027 but has not signed a new deal, which keeps a summer exit on the table and raises the threat he could leave for free at season’s end.
During his unveiling, as carried by 101tv, Kochorashvili said he often speaks to Álvarez, described him as a very close friend, and voiced confidence he will play with him again one day, though he does not know where.
The pair were team-mates at Levante in 2023-24 and 2024-25, the latter ending in promotion to Primera División. Kochorashvili played 35 games, scoring six and assisting four, while Álvarez delivered 12 goals and 11 assists. The Sevillian playmaker’s long-range strike against Burgos was a decisive moment in the promotion push.
Sevilla’s interest has returned Álvarez to the radar of his former club, while Kochorashvili’s bond adds another ingredient. Any deal would hinge on Levante’s demands, and upcoming transfer news will determine whether a reunion in Nervión can materialise.
