To wrap up the first half of the ADMIRAL Women's Bundesliga regular season, our team faces another home match before heading into the international break. First Vienna FC will visit the Liefering Saalachspitz, with kick-off scheduled for 17:00 CEST this coming Saturday. Admission is free, and for those unable to attend in person, the match will be broadcast on ÖFB TV and Laola1.
A flying start to the season followed by a September slump - after going six competitive matches unbeaten, the team from the capital has hit a rough patch, suffering three consecutive league defeats. This poor run led to head coach Denny Krcmarek stepping down this week and assistant coach Peter Ganster is taking over on an interim basis until the winter break, making his debut at the Red Bull Football Academy. From the Vienna side's perspective, the goal is to extend an impressive away record, following a 1–1 draw against our team back in December, they went months touring Austria unbeaten. It was only a fortnight ago that Vienna suffered their first away defeat of the calendar year, losing 0–4 to SCR Altach.
Our team travelled the Vienna-to-Salzburg route just last week, returning home with a 1–0 win from Rapid. With a draw against LASK and that win over Rapid under their belts, our Salzburg squad heads into this home match full of confidence. The game will be officiated by referee Sabrina Allinger as the up-and-coming official from Lower Austria is set to take charge of her second match in the top flight.

Will we gain a resounding victory or a hard-fought win? Or perhaps a friendly draw? To mark the new season, Laola1, the new media partner of the ADMIRAL Women's Bundesliga, has launched a prediction game where you can compete with friends, teammates, and other fans. Sign up and make your predictions for the upcoming matchday!
Vienna are also a young team with plenty of quality and energy. We expect an intense match and know we need to stay fully focused for the full 90 minutes. The win against Rapid was a boost for us - especially because we stuck together as a team during a tough game - and now we want to take the next step. At home, we want to play even more proactively, control the ball better, and create more attacking opportunities.
