Borussia Mönchengladbach have completed the signing of Poland U19 centre-back Jan Leszczyński from Legia Warszawa.

According to BuLi News, the 19-year-old has agreed a contract running until 2030.

Head of sport Rouven Schröder hailed Leszczyński as a highly talented defender with a compelling mix of qualities and significant potential.

He highlighted the Pole's strength in duels and aerial prowess. He also noted his two-footedness and composure playing out from the back, adding that he is focused and ambitious, and at the start of an exciting journey.

Leszczyński said he is grateful for the chance at Borussia to take the next step in his development, praising the club's history and its record of progressing young players.

He added that he will give everything to establish himself and help the team achieve success.
