Reports in Italy claim that Oliver Glasner has turned down the opportunity to take over as head coach of Eredivisie side Feyenoord as he waits for Milan to make their final decision on a replacement for Massimiliano Allegri.
Glasner is among the leading candidates to replace Allegri in Milan following the departure of the previous head coach along with former sporting director Igli Tare, technical director Geoffrey Moncada and CEO Giorgio Furlani the day after the 2025-26 season ended.
Glasner met with representatives from Milan last week, gave his approval to the idea of moving to San Siro, and then spoke with delegates from the club again on Monday.
According to the latest updates from the Corriere dello Sport, Glasner is still willing to take over at Milan and has reportedly turned down the chance to take over at Feyenoord while waiting for the Rossoneri to come to their final decision.
The final choice will come down to Gerry Cardinale, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Massimo Calvelli. It is understood that Mauricio Pochettino and Arne Slot are among the alternative options being assessed by the current Rossoneri leadership.

According to Tuesday’s reports, Milan have also been in contact with Ralf Rangnick again over the last few days.
The current head coach of the Austria national team is the leading candidate to take over as Milan’s new technical director, but the Austrian FA are keen to keep the German on board and have reportedly offered him a new two-year deal to see him through until the end of EURO 2028.

Corriere dello Sport claims that Rangnick is still ‘intrigued’ by the opportunity at Milan, but that he wants confirmation that he will have full control and the ability to operate freely without interference from any other individuals employed by the club or ownership.
Corriere dello Sport claims that if Cardinale and his team were to agree to those conditions, then a deal would be easy to complete.
