Global media hails France after 3-0 Sweden win as Paraguay await in last 16 | OneFootball

France’s 3-0 win over Sweden has dazzled the global press, and Paraguay now await in the last 16.

According to Le Progres, outlets in Spain, Germany, Sweden and Paraguay were struck by the authority and fluency of Didier Deschamps’s side.

In Spain, Mundo Deportivo said France inspire fear, and highlighted Michael Olise, who delivered two assists, was born in London and has French-Algerian and Nigerian heritage. The paper also praised the simple, brilliant style that makes this team hard not to like.

In Germany, Kicker suggested anything other than a return to MetLife Stadium for the World Cup final would be a surprise, citing team chemistry and an ingenious attack. It added that France look even more dangerous, with Kylian Mbappé seemingly on a mission for a third star after 1998 and 2018.

In Sweden, Svenska Dagbladet thanked Les Bleus for the spectacle and described them as the best team at this World Cup.

In Paraguay, ABC Color labelled Deschamps’s side a Gallic storm and described a show of power that flattened a lifeless Sweden.
