Raheem Sterling was frozen out at Chelsea, but his move away hasn’t gone too well either, unfortunately for him.

Raheem Sterling’s move to Chelsea ended up being a disaster for all parties. We were delighted when he came to an agreement with the club earlier this season to terminate his contract, allowing him to move on on a free transfer.

He ended up at Feyenoord, and it seems like his problems aren’t over, sadly. After so long without playing, the winger is struggling to find his feet again. After a 1-1 draw with Ajax, one former Feyenoord player didn’t hold back in his criticism.

Former Blue told to retire in brutal post match commentary

“If I were [Feyenoord], I would ask for my money back and say: just go home,” Willem van Hanegem said on his podcast in quotes translated by SportWitness.

“He should just go to Robin van Persie and say: ‘let’s stop this. This isn’t going to work’,” added another pundit.

“This isn’t good for me, for you, or for the club. You’re not really helping anyone with this. He should just go to Ibiza, put on his swimming trunks, and eat a delicious paella with his wife.”

In other news…

Brighton are chasing the same winger target as Chelsea, and have a unique advantage in their chase for the Bundesliga star.

Two current Chelsea attackers are not having great seasons, but their stats are a little more promising than the eye test.
