PSG and Bayern have played out a captivating first half in their Champions League semi-final first leg.

In the end-to-end opening 45 minutes, the big-name players all got in on the action, starting with Harry Kane's 17th-minute penalty.

PSG hit back quickly when Khvicha Kvaratskhelia applied a tidy finish inside the area before João Neves' flicked header beat Manuel Neuer with a glancing header.

The action didn't let up for the final 15 minutes of the first half. Michael Olise pulled Bayern level by rifling an unstoppable strike into the PSG net.

Les Parisiens then restored their lead after Alphonso Davies' handball gave Ousmane Dembélé the chance to score from the penalty spot and the French striker converted.

There was no slowing down in the second half as PSG struck two goals to lead 5-2 before Dayot Upamecano's glancing header and Luis Diaz's powerful strike made it 4-3 with 20 minutes remaining.
