Gordon Strachan said Leeds United should consider free agent Harry Wilson, arguing the Welshman could deliver 10 league goals a season. "Harry Wilson to Leeds United? There are 10 goals a season in there," Strachan said, adding that a free transfer should be explored. The remarks were made to Wales Online.
Leeds targeted Wilson on deadline day last summer but the move collapsed late. He then produced 10 goals and 7 assists in 36 Premier League games for Fulham in 2025/26, a campaign that could yet be his last at Craven Cottage.
"He's a guy who's taken a while to find his feet," Strachan added. "He wasn't a superstar kid, but now he looks to be a real asset... on the right side of the box he is a big threat."
The winger, 29, is out of contract this summer and Fulham have offered fresh terms this week. With a fee of up to £10m now irrelevant, interest is likely to grow after his most productive Premier League season.
Leeds need a right-wing or No 10 profile in Daniel Farke’s squad and are expected to target attacking difference-makers. They remain in that market, and a January bid for Jorgen Strand Larsen indicated Farke could also seek another striker.
