Gosens ‘in talks’ with Schalke 04, Fiorentina ‘to ask’ for €1m | OneFootball

Schalke 04 are in negotiations with Fiorentina over Robin Gosens, according to Sky Sports Deutschland.

Bild claims the Viola would only seek a symbolic €1m fee.

The left-back turned 32 last week. He is widely expected to move on this summer, despite Fabio Grosso’s arrival and a likely 4-3-3.

For the move to happen, Gosens would need to accept a lower salary. It would also offer him the chance to play for the club he has long supported.

He built his career in Serie A with Atalanta from 2017, then joined Inter in 2022. A brief return to Germany followed at Union Berlin in 2023-24, before a €7.1m switch back to Fiorentina.

Injuries affected last season and he made only 36 appearances in all competitions, still producing four goals and three assists.
