Leeds United supporters are awaiting formal confirmation of Harry Wilson’s arrival, with an update pointing to a midweek announcement rather than today.

According to Leedsunited.news, the club are expected to communicate the deal in the middle of the week.

Reports late last month said Leeds had secured Wilson on a free, a year after Fulham ended a deadline-day switch when they failed to land a replacement. The winger is a free agent after his Fulham contract expired on 30 June.

After a season in which he produced 17 Premier League goals and assists, some Leeds fans doubted a move was realistic. Even so, reports said a deal is done, with a four-year contract anticipated to run to summer 2030 amid links to Aston Villa and Benfica. A big wage is set to be paid.

The gap since those claims, more than a week, has tested patience. The delay has fed anxiety that the move felt too good to be true, which is why attention has turned to this week’s timeline.

The former Bournemouth player is a key figure for Craig Bellamy’s Wales and is nearing 70 caps. He would become the seventh Wales international on Leeds’ books for 2026-27.
