Leeds United edged a point nearer safety with a 0-0 draw against Brentford at Elland Road, rarely looking like taking all three.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, it was a largely chance-starved contest and the second stalemate between the sides this season.

Defences controlled the first half. Dominic Calvert-Lewin beat Caoimhín Kelleher to a looping cross but the danger was cleared, and Igor Thiago scuffed a half-chance after troubling Jaka Bijol.

Little changed after the interval, with momentum swinging without a clear opening. Daniel Farke introduced Noah Okafor and Ao Tanaka to chase a winner, yet the breakthrough did not arrive.

Goalkeeper Karl Darlow earned a seven, solid with little to do and mixed with his kicking. Joe Rodon took a six for physical defending and positive intent on the ball.

Jaka Bijol also received a six, winning headers without unsettling the visitors. Pascal Struijk was marked at five, shaky before the break but steadier after, driving forward when he could.

Jayden Bogle was given a five, lacking composure during promising attacks. Ethan Ampadu took a six, pressing with urgency and releasing Bogle with a fine long pass for a half chance.
