Gramadense are investing close to R$ 30 million in a multi-use arena in Gramado, built with a Fifa Quality Pro synthetic pitch. According to Globo.com, the venue is designed to become the club’s home and events hub.

The second-tier Gaúcho side are in the Copa Federação Gaúcha de Futebol final, with the return leg Thursday. They won the first leg 1-0 against Brasil de Pelotas, and the champions qualify for the 2027 Série D. They also begin the Gauchão Série A2 in August.

The arena will include a covered stand for up to 5,000, plus boxes and flexible interiors. The pitch is intended for intensive use.

Director Lucas Roldo says the team will train and hold events there this year, and that it has been conceived as Gramado’s main events arena. He says the project is club-funded, partly via asset swaps, with a ticketing partner advancing gate receipts.

Roldo adds the arena will strengthen the football department and be the project’s main revenue generator. Work began in 2021 and this year’s deliveries focus on dressing rooms, a VAR room and physiotherapy.

The 15-hectare site is planned for gradual expansion, with scope to extend stands and a possible hotel. A 2024 opening was delayed by the climate disaster in Rio Grande do Sul, and turf installation is now in final preparation.

Since turning professional in 2022, the club have prioritised local development, with about 1,000 children in free programmes run with the municipality. The stadium underpins plans to be consolidated in the state’s top flight by the centenary.
