Changes are on the horizon for the Italian football system.

The announcement came during a meeting in Rome with the heads of Serie A, Serie B, Lega Pro, LND, AIC, and AIAC.

The decision, just days after the national team’s defeat against Bosnia in Zenica, which cost them their World Cup qualification, ushers in a transitional phase: the extraordinary elective assembly has been called for June 22nd in Rome.

Setting the vote for the end of June gives the new management the technical time needed to manage the registration procedures for the upcoming professional championships, avoiding administrative deadlocks that could harm the clubs.

Meanwhile, Gravina has agreed to speak at a hearing before the Chamber of Deputies on April 8th to discuss the health of a movement that has never seemed so fragile.
