Great news confirmed for PSG on the injury front

Lucas Beraldo, the 21-year-old defender for Paris Saint-Germain, joined the injury list during the 2-0 victory over Lens in the 4th round of Ligue 1. The cause was a significant ankle twist during a duel. There were fears of a long absence, but the first updates are positive. RMC Sport confirms Le Parisien’s report that the ligaments have not been affected.

“The Brazilian defender underwent initial tests late Sunday evening after being stretchered off during the win over Lens (2-0). According to the first findings, there is nothing serious for the club’s number 4, who is believed to be suffering from an ankle sprain. No ligaments appear to be affected. As explained by Le Parisien, he should avoid a long period of unavailability.”

Beraldo will, of course, still need some rest—probably for a few weeks. But this is much better than what was feared when he left the pitch. PSG and the Brazilian could come out of this situation quite well. Let’s hope the news regarding Lee Kang-In (24-year-old midfielder/forward) and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (24-year-old forward) will be just as positive.
