Green Angels and Magic Fans ‘to be spared’ from dissolution | OneFootball

The threat of dissolving Saint-Étienne’s two main supporters’ groups, Green Angels and Magic Fans, has eased, and they should be spared by the Interior Ministry.

According to Le Progrès, Interior Minister Laurent Nunez told the club last Wednesday he would not go against the negative opinion of the national advisory commission on preventing violence at sporting events.

Set for a second successive season in Ligue 2, Saint-Étienne should still be able to count on backing from their organised support.

The club kept the development quiet, informing the groups on Saturday during a reception at the L’Étrat training centre.

Only the ministry’s formal communication remains, which could arrive at the end of June or early July.
