Grégory Dupont to remain at Red Star, will not join Troyes | OneFootball

Grégory Dupont will not be joining Troyes and will continue as Red Star’s director of football. He was alongside head coach Damien Perrinelle as the squad reported back on Wednesday.

Foot Mercato reports that City Football Group, owners of Manchester City and Troyes, recently contacted him about becoming sporting director at Troyes. The post has been vacant since Antoine Sibierski joined Belgian club Anderlecht.

Dupont is in demand, his performance roles at Lille, Real Madrid and with France having drawn interest from abroad.

He arrived at Red Star 18 months ago to take charge as director of football.

After Grégory Poirier’s departure, he was tasked with choosing the next coach and selected Perrinelle.
