Grêmio agree João Lucas loan to Remo amid squad reshaping | OneFootball

According to Globo.com, Grêmio have agreed to loan right-back João Lucas to Remo on a one-year deal.

The 27-year-old was the club’s first signing of 2025 but struggled to impress. He made 20 appearances and scored one, and two left-thigh muscle injuries kept him out for about four months.

Under contract until 2027, the defender had fallen out of the new board’s plans.

Grêmio are due to report back on Friday, and one of the new hierarchy’s priorities is to trim the squad.

Forward Alysson has been sold to Aston Villa. Midfielder Camilo is close to a loan to Chapecoense, as is forward Cristian Olivera to Bahia.

One arrival has been secured so far. Left-back Caio Paulista is joining from Palmeiras on a one-year loan after spending last season at Atlético-MG.
