Fabio Grosso says that he ‘would be happy’ if Moise Kean stays on with Fiorentina for the 2026-27 season, but has refused to rule out his transfer away from the club as Champions League newcomers Como continue to be linked with a move for the Italy international: ‘If something were to suit everyone …’

Fiorentina have been one of the busier Serie A sides this transfer window, looking to make amends after a near-disastrous 2025-26 season, which saw the team stuck in the relegation zone for large chunks of the campaign.

The Viola, under the guidance of recently-appointed sporting director Fabio Paratici, have already secured deals for Radu Dragusin, Alex Jimenez, Arthur Atta, Christ Inao Oulai, Viery and Giovanni Fabbian. They could be set for even more new additions but are also expected to move on a handful of their current assets first.

Recent reports have claimed that centre-forward Kean is of interest to Como, who will be competing in the Champions League for the first time in 2026-27, and are in need of more homegrown Italian talents to make the required ratios in their UEFA squad list.

Speaking at a recent press conference at Viola Park, Fiorentina head coach Grosso refused to definitively rule out a transfer away from the club for Kean this summer.

He says that he would be delighted to keep the 26-year-old on board, having scored 27 goals from 58 appearances during his time with Fiorentina, but also admits that the club would not stand in the player’s way if an appropriate offer were to come in.

“I think he’s quite calm, it’s a pleasure for me to see him again after quite a few years. I met him when he was a youngster and I’m seeing him again now as a man and an established footballer,” said Grosso (via Calciomercato.com).

“You and I both know his characteristics, he’s a very strong player for our team.

“As I’ve said before, there are rumours about the transfer market, but we’re here to work and to improve. You know the dynamics of the window, I’d be happy to have him, but if something were to suit everyone, I’d be just as happy to wish him all the best.”
