Guadalajara’s favorite border trip

After showing the same identity they displayed last tournament, Chivas opened the Clausura 2026 with a convincing performance that earned them their first three points of the year against Pachuca. While the team and the ChivaNation celebrated that win, Gabriel Milito’s squad now turns its focus to what’s next.

A double-match week is coming, and this Tuesday Chivas will visit one of the farthest venues on the map — but one that has felt like home. Since FC Juárez joined Liga MX, Guadalajara has built a dominant record at the Olympic Benito Juárez Stadium.

Since the Apertura 2019, Juárez has never beaten Chivas at home. In six meetings on the border, the series has been entirely red and white: 4 wins and 2 draws for Guadalajara.

The first-ever clash between them took place in Juárez and ended 1–2 in favor of Chivas, with goals from Jesús Molina and Eduardo López. The biggest win came in Clausura 2022, when Chivas won 1–3 with goals from Alexis Vega, Jesús Angulo, and an own goal by Alejandro Arribas.

Chivas has never conceded more than one goal when visiting Juárez and has never failed to score there. The goal tally stands at 11 for Chivas and just 5 for Bravos.

With this favorable history, Chivas heads to the border aiming for a second straight win and to once again make their fans proud at the Olympic Benito Juárez.
