Guardiola gives injury update ahead of Manchester derby clash | OneFootball

Pep Guardiola says he is likely to be without several players for Sunday's Manchester derby.

The City boss says Omar Marmoush, Rayan Ait-Nouri and Rayan Cherki are out, while John Stones, who withdrew from England's squad for the World Cup qualifiers against Andorra and Serbia, is also likely to miss the United game.

"Omar is injured from Egypt [international duty]. John Stones as well is a doubt.

"[It's] not a big issue, but he’s a doubt for Sunday.

"Rayan Cherki [is also injured but the rest are fine."

Following up on Marmoush's injury, suffered during Egypt's game against Burkina Faso, the boss was asked if he'd been given the extent of the problem.

He said:  "Not yet. He has to have last tests. A few weeks, I think, before the next international break he will be ready."

Mateo Kovacic remains sidelined at present.
