Guedes rejoins Real Sociedad group at Zubieta after Birmingham tour | OneFootball

Real Sociedad made a brief stop at Zubieta after their Birmingham tour, with Gonçalo Guedes back training with the group. According to Diario Vasco, they now head to Tarbes to face Toulouse on Friday at 19.00, their fourth pre-season friendly.

Matarazzo's side are stepping up for the new La Liga campaign, and Guedes rejoined on Thursday after returning from holiday on Wednesday. He did not feature for Portugal at the World Cup. Smiling through the customary welcome tunnel, he has started group work but still needs rhythm before a friendly, and, if nothing changes, could reappear against Cologne on seven or eight August.

Kubo and Sucic also trained with the group, as they had in Britain. Both have several sessions behind them and could get minutes against Toulouse on Friday.

The Basque club approach the French test with two victories and a draw so far. The feeling around the team is positive, especially with the level shown by the youngsters.

After facing Toulouse, Rino's players will return to Zubieta on Saturday for the last session of the week, then two rest days.

They are due back on Tuesday four August, in a week shaped by a double friendly in Germany on Friday and Saturday. Pre-season will finish with a trip to Chelsea on 15 August, six days before the league opener against Betis at La Cartuja.
