Roma, barring any surprises, will not intervene in the free agent market.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Giallorossi have decided not to rush and will wait until the January transfer window to complete their squad, especially the attacking winger.
In recent days, Roma have reportedly been offered Raphaël Guerreiro, a free agent following his last stint at Bayern Munich.
The Portuguese’s profile, however, apparently failed to fully convince Gian Piero Gasperini, and a formal negotiation never materialized. Guerreiro therefore remains in search of a new club.
A similar situation applies to Jadon Sancho, another name floated by the Giallorossi management.
The Englishman was close to joining Roma a year ago, but this time the club has reportedly decided not to pursue the option.
The main concerns are doubts about his fitness and the time needed to bring him back to a competitive level. Roma wants to carefully select their reinforcements rather than rush them.
