Guga Rodrigues ‘has signed’ three-year Pafos deal under Sá Pinto | OneFootball

Portuguese midfielder Guga Rodrigues is set to continue his career in Cyprus after signing a three-year deal with Pafos, coached by Ricardo Sá Pinto.

A Bola reports that it is the 28-year-old’s fourth spell abroad following seasons outside Portugal in recent years.

He left Rio Ave in January 2024 to join Beijing Guoan, where he spent two seasons and made more than 60 appearances, scoring 10 goals with nine assists.

At the Cypriot club he will link up with several familiar Portuguese names, including David Luiz, also ex-Benfica, Pepê Rodrigues, Domingos Quina, Dani Silva, Alexandre Brito and Biel.

With Sá Pinto in charge, Pafos finished fourth in the league last season and won the Cypriot Cup. The victory secured UEFA Europa League football, with entry directly in the second qualifying round rather than the UEFA Conference League.
