Guido completes Valencia move on short-term deal | OneFootball

Valencia said in a statement that Guido Rodríguez has joined on a contract until 30 June. The Argentina midfielder is 31.

An agreement for his transfer was reached last weekend. He had a contract with an English club until June, with a unilateral option for one more season.

Valencia will now assess the economic viability and the player's predisposition to extend the deal for longer. The move was closed on the terms discussed, and on arriving on Sunday he noted that operations work like that.

Rodríguez underwent medical tests early on Monday, then travelled to the training complex. He posed with Ron Gourlay, CEO of Football, and spoke in person with head coach Carlos Corberán.

Over the past week, Corberán had several phone conversations with the World Cup winner with Argentina to persuade him to choose Mestalla. His arrival is seen as adding balance, experience, personality and value to the midfield and dressing room.
