Manchester City locked horns with Monaco at the Stade Louis II earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a good result on the road in the UEFA Champions League. Erling Haaland opened the goal-scoring for the Mancunian giants in the 15th minute, but Jordan Teze equalised for the French side just three minutes later. Haaland scored again for Man City in the 44th minute as Pep Guardiola’s men went into the half-time break 2-1 up on the scoreline.

Man City defended their lead well in the second half but conceded the equaliser in the 90th minute when Eric Dier scored from the penalty spot. The contest ended with Man City being held to a 2-2 draw away from home.

Donnarumma made one good save at the back, but would be disappointed after conceding twice tonight.

He did his fair share of defending but offered very little going forward.

CB: Ruben Dias – 7/10

Dias performed his defensive duties well and was a good presence on the ball.

CB: Josko Gvardiol – 7.5/10

He put his foot through the ball when he could and was a threat going forward. Gvardiol has got an assist to show for his efforts.

LB: Nico O’Reilly – 8/10

He came back to defend when required and managed to secure an assist as well.

CDM: Rodri – 6.5/10

Rodri earned possession back once and was replaced at the hour mark.

CM: Tijjani Reijnders – 7/10

He caused a few problems for the opposition defenders, but there was no goal from him.

CM: Phil Foden – 7/10

Foden made two key chances in the final third but failed to register a goal.

RW: Bernardo Silva – 6/10

He caught the eye at times on the right flank and was accurate with his passing.

LW: Jeremy Doku – 7/10

Doku managed to shine at times, but never looked like he would score.

ST: Erling Haaland – 8/10

Haaland was a constant menace on the offensive end of the field and managed to score twice tonight.
