Erling Haaland’s late brace against Burnley has seen him move into the top 10 scorers in City’s history.
He’s now netted 133 times in 153 appearances for City, making him the ninth highest scorer in our history ahead of Billy Gillespie and Fred Tilson.
The No.9 still has some way to go to catch record holder Sergio Aguero though, who managed 260 strikes in 10 years at the Etihad.
The Norwegian’s incredibly prolific record further highlights his credentials as one of the best goal scorers the game has ever seen.
Gillespie and Tilson required 231 and 275 games respectively during their careers to reach their tally of 132.
Haaland has now scored more Premier League goals than any other Norwegian, surpassing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with his 93 goals in 103 appearances.
It also makes him the second highest scorer in Premier League games at the Etihad Stadium.
The Norwegian’s strikes against the Clarets took him to 52 in just 51 appearances at our home.
That saw him surpass Raheem Sterling, who netted 51 times in 109 games.
Only Sergio Aguero has scored more at the Etihad than those two, with 106 strikes in 142 games at our stadium.
We moved into the Etihad Stadium back in 2003, after 80 years at the iconic Maine Road just a few miles away.
Kevin De Bruyne (47), Carlos Tevez (38), David Silva (36), Gabriel Jesus (32), Phil Foden (31) and Yaya Toure (30) are amongst the other top scorers at the ground since then.
Since arriving in the summer of 2022, the No.9 has set a standard in front of goal that no other player can match.
He won Premier League Golden Boots in 2022/23 and 2023/24.
The 2022/23 season was a record-breaking one for many reasons, including 36 goals in the Premier League – more than anyone ever before – and 52 in total, a club high tally in our history.
Just this week he became the quickest player to 50 Champions League goals, needing just 49 games - 13 fewer than previous fastest Ruud van Nistelrooy.
He now leads the Premier League charts for this season too, with eight finishes in six games.
