Newcastle United welcomed Manchester City at St. James’ Park earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a win at home in the FA Cup. The Magpies made a decent start to the game and scored the opener in the 18th minute when Harvey Barnes got his name on the scoresheet. Savinho equalised for the visitors in the 39th minute as the two sides went into the half-time break with a 1-1 scoreline.

Omar Marmoush scored a quick-fire brace in the second 45 minutes. Eddie Howe’s men ended up crashing to a tough 3-1 loss in front of their home fans.
