German Google Pixel Frauen-Bundesliga club Hamburger SV have completed the signing of West Ham United goalkeeper Kinga Szemik on a permanent deal.

HSV announced news of the deal via a post on their official club website earlier today.

The 29-year-old Polish international joined West Ham United from French Arkema Première Ligue club Stade de Reims in summer 2024. She went on to make 45 appearances for The Hammers in all competitions, claiming the East Londoners’ first-choice goalkeeping jersey.

Ahead of the new season, Szemik has opted for a change. She will now move into the Google Pixel Frauen-Bundesliga for the first time with Hamburg.

After joining Hamburg, Szemik said “I chose Hamburg because I was looking for a place where I could develop further, gain new experiences, and improve as a player.

“I am really looking forward to the upcoming season and will give my all to get the best out of myself. I will work hard to help the team with my skills.”

Szemik joins a Hamburg side that narrowly avoided relegation to the 2. Frauen-Bundesliga last season. HSV ended the campaign one place above the relegation zone. She will be hoping to keep the club away from trouble this term.
