Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has informed a member of his attacking ranks that he is not depending on his services for the season ahead.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who highlight Roony Bardghji as the player in question.

Youngster Bardghji has for his part fallen further down the pecking order out wide in Catalunya’s capital across the summer to date.

With Barcelona having brought in both Anthony Gordon and Karim Adeyemi, the young Swede has seen his status as Lamine Yamal’s backup reduced to the role of a simple squad player.

Bardghji was for his part hopeful of convincing Hansi Flick and his staff of his readiness to kick on and contribute nonetheless over the season ahead, but the Blaugrana’s headmaster has since made crystal clear to the 20-year-old his place in his plans.

As per a report from Diario Sport:

‘The young Swedish attacker knows that the German coach is not counting on him for this season. This is what he told the player, who has also seen how the team was reinforced with two wingers.’
