Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick was in attendance to take in the performance of a leading member of the Blaugrana’s squad, on the international front on Wednesday night.
The player in question? Marc-André ter Stegen.
Goalkeeper Ter Stegen is of course fresh off a difficult season on the books of Barcelona, which saw the 33-year-old first suffer a long-term injury, before being condemned to backup duties behind Wojciech Szczęsny.
He was nevertheless afforded a call-up to Germany’s squad for the country’s meeting with Portugal this evening, though, thrown straight back in from the off by boss Julian Nagelsmann.
And watching on as his home country were condemned to an eventual 2-1 defeat, as alluded to above, was Hansi Flick.
As per a report from Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona’s headmaster made use of his summer vacation to make the trip to the Allianz Arena.
Flick is also expected to be in the crowd on Thursday, when Spain and France lock horns in the 2nd Nations League semi-final tie.
