FC Barcelona are making some major moves in the market with Joan Garcia already arriving and Nico Williams also set to join, after a contract agreement has already been reached.

The Spanish winger’s arrival from Athletic Club will come as a huge boost to an already star-studded attacking unit for the Blaugrana.

However, there is the question of how manager Hansi Flick will fit the players in the team, given that Lamine Yamal, Raphinha, and Robert Lewandowski are his preferred choice in attack with Dani Olmo operating as the No. 10.

Raphinha ‘untouchable’

On top of that, Barcelona are also not ruling out a move for Marcus Rashford, who is desperate to join, meaning there could be another attacking addition before the transfer window closes and the club might need a major sale to register all of them.

However, according to Gerard Romero, Hansi Flick has made it clear to everyone at Barcelona that Raphinha is simply ‘untouchable’ and is not to be sold at any cost this summer.

It must be remembered that when Barça were pursuing Nico last summer, the Brazilian’s future at the club was cast under clouds of uncertainty.

But, Raphinha went on to establish himself as one of the most important players in Flick’s team, leading from the front, as the team won three titles, riding on the back of his 34 goals and 27 assists.

As such, Flick has made it clear to sporting director Deco, co-ordinator Bojan Krkic and other members of the club’s sporting department that the former Leeds United man is not to be touched at any cost, despite Nico’s impending arrival.

The German tactician is prepared to adjust things in the starting lineup to make a place for Raphinha if the need arises. But, he sees the winger as simply ‘untouchable’.

Raphinha, for his part, is not thinking about a departure from the La Liga champions despite having attracted some interest from Manchester United, having recently renewed his contract.
