With the squad already overloaded in midfield options, there is a growing fear that Casado may struggle for playing time this season.

Talks between Barcelona and Casado are scheduled to take place in the coming days, with the aim of clarifying his role and future.

Despite the uncertainty, the youngster remains deeply attached to Barça, having grown up at the club since his early years in La Masia.

He continues to believe he can fight for a spot in the first team, even though the battle for midfield places is tougher than ever under Flick’s management.

Casado’s situation has not gone unnoticed across Europe. Several clubs have already made concrete moves to test his availability.

In the Premier League, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Bournemouth, and West Ham United have all shown interest.

Closer to home, La Liga rivals Real Betis and Atletico Madrid are closely monitoring his progress. Meanwhile, Olympique de Marseille have also entered the race.

Flick has reportedly told the club that Casado risks being left without game time due to the congestion in midfield, and if an opportunity arises for him to earn more minutes or secure a better contract elsewhere, Barcelona may allow him to leave.

For the club, the upcoming meeting will be decisive. While they value Casado’s talent, they also need clarity before making further moves in the transfer market.

Casado now faces a difficult decision – stay at the club he loves and fight for a role despite the challenges, or explore the opportunities being offered by top teams abroad and in Spain.
