Strength, composure and character: since arriving in Nerazzurri colours, Manuel Akanji has brought all of these qualities – and many more – to Inter. Today, the Swiss defender celebrates his 31st birthday, his first as a Nerazzurri player.

Having arrived in Milano on the final day of the 2025 summer transfer window, Akanji established himself as a key figure from the outset. Manuel featured in 45 of Inter's 52 matches during the 2025/26 season, a memorable campaign for both the Club and its fans that ended with the historic domestic Double. He lifted the Scudetto and the Coppa Italia and also scored twice in his debut season, finding the net with headers against Sassuolo and Lecce.

Born in Neftenbach, Switzerland, on 19 July 1995, Akanji turns 31 today. Everyone at the Club and across the Nerazzurri world wishes Manuel a very happy birthday!
