For 11 seasons, Samir Handanović was almost always the first name on Inter's teamsheet, thanks to his character and deep-rooted determination. From the summer of 2012 onwards, Inter became Samir's home, a bond that he strengthened with consistently outstanding performances. One of the finest goalkeepers in Italy at the time, Handanović soon established his position among Inter's legendary No. 1s. A modern goalkeeper and an outstanding penalty specialist, Samir combined exceptional technical ability with composure and precision, while also excelling with the ball at his feet. Across his 11 years in the Nerazzurri shirt, Handanović made 455 appearances, drawing level with Iván Córdoba in tenth place on the Club's all-time appearance list. Appointed captain in 2019, he went on to lift one Serie A title, two Coppa Italia trophies and two Supercoppa Italianas while leading the side.
