Harry Kane on cusp of incredible goalscoring record | OneFootball

Harry Kane has been one of the most prolific forwards in world football for years, but this Friday he could break a record which would solidify him as one of the best strikers of all time.

Kane has 98 goals in 102 games for Bayern Munich in all competitions, and if he scores twice against Werder Bremen on Friday, he will become the fastest player ever in Europe’s top five leagues to reach 100 goals for a club.

The record is currently jointly held by Cristiano Ronaldo and Erling Haaland, who both reached 100 goals in 104 games. Ronaldo achieved the feat for Real Madrid and Haaland for Manchester City.

The Englishman has one game to break the record, and two to tie it. Kane has an astounding 12 goals in six games so far this season and at his current rate he would break the record against Bremen.

He has scored in every game he has played this season bar one, and proved his quality in the Champions League when he scored twice against Chelsea last week as the Bavarians inflicted a 3-1 defeat on Enzo Maresca’s side.

Kane has never been close to winning the biggest individual awards, finishing 13th in the Ballon d’Or rankings this week for the 2025 award, even though many thought he should have placed higher.

If he is able to break this goalscoring record it would no doubt help his case when it comes to winning such prizes in the future.
