Harry Wilson arrives, Ilia Gruev returns as Leeds report for pre-season | OneFootball

Leeds United returned to work today, with a first sighting of new signing Harry Wilson and Ilia Gruev back among the group after injury.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, the majority of the squad reported for day-one testing at Leeds Beckett University, seven weeks after the 2025-26 season ended at West Ham.

Club footage on social media showed Wilson with his new team-mates after he joined on a free transfer when his Fulham contract expired.

Captain Ethan Ampadu was among those back in, alongside Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Anton Stach, Joe Rodon, Jayden Bogle and Jaka Bijol.

James Justin, Sean Longstaff, Dan James, Willy Gnonto, Sebastiaan Bornauw, Lucas Perri and Alex Cairns were also in.

Gruev’s season ended early with a meniscus knee injury. He shared a recovery update late last month and was always expected to return for pre-season.

As anticipated, World Cup quartet Brenden Aaronson, Gabriel Gudmundsson, Noah Okafor and Ao Tanaka were not present and will come back later.
