Fulham have rejected a late Everton enquiry for Harry Wilson, with the winger expected to finish the campaign in London. According to BBC Sport, the approach was made last week.
Wilson has been Fulham’s most productive player this season, scoring eight and assisting four in 23 Premier League games, including three in his last five. Leeds saw a summer deadline-day move collapse after filing a deal sheet when Fulham changed their stance.
His contract expires this summer and talks are on hold, so he is currently due to become a free agent at season’s end. He can speak to foreign clubs about a pre-contract now, but cannot negotiate with domestic rivals.
TalkSPORT reported last week that Leeds remain a potential destination, with competition also cited from Everton, Sunderland and Crystal Palace. Leeds are still thought to be interested.
The Everton enquiry coincided with the club confirming a potentially season-ending foot injury to Manchester City loanee Jack Grealish. Fulham want to keep Wilson beyond this summer, although discussions are paused and he is believed to be considering a fresh challenge.
Leeds will revisit the right wing or No 10 role in the summer after only a temporary fix this month. Facundo Buonanotte has arrived on loan from Brighton for the rest of the season, but a permanent Premier League option could be needed if they avoid relegation.
