Chelsea have just been beaten by Man U, with a really worrying moment coming just 15 minutes into the game when Estevao was taken off injured.
After the game Liam Rosenior spoke to the media, where he gave some details about Estevao’s injury:
“He was devastated,” the Chelsea boss said.
“He was crying at half time. It looks like a hamstring.”
Alejandro Garnacho came on to replace the Brazilian, and with Jamie Gittens also out hurt, the Argentine is set to get a lot of left wing minutes until the end of the season. We hope he can do better than he did tonight, and in a majority of his Chelsea performances so far.
This is a real shame for Estevao, both short term and long term. This is his second injury in a matter of months, and it seems that despite trying to treat him carefully, Chelsea have overused their young star.
Hopefully it’s not serious and his World Cup dreams are still alive, at the very least.
Pedro Neto has called on this game to be a “turning point” for his team as they take on Man U.
Marc Cucurella was also interviewed before the game, and he made some big claims about Chelsea’s season so far.
