Hebburn Town are interested in three Sunderland youngsters after an against-the-odds title-winning campaign, Sunderland Echo understands.
The Hornets topped the Northern Premier League Premier Division with 79 points from 40 matches, winning 23, drawing 10 and losing seven. They finished two clear of Hednesford Town and seven ahead of FC United of Manchester.
Cameron began the season on loan at Hebburn before a stint with Boston United, with Isaac Allan joining the Hornets on loan midway through. Waters impressed, maintaining a strong goals-to-minutes ratio and scoring again in the final game.
Hebburn are also keen on Allan, but his situation is different. The goalkeeper is under contract at Sunderland next season, so any return would need to be a loan. Given both Cameron and Allan are keepers, they are only likely to pursue one as part of summer planning for National League North.
After a 2-1 win over Bamber Bridge in their penultimate outing at the SFC Stadium, manager Daniel Moore praised Allan for vital saves and highlighted the impact of the substitutes, including moving to two up front with Gaz. He also commended Waters and said Jake worked tirelessly.
Hebburn are expected to work with a modest budget next season and aim to build a young, enthusiastic squad for the step up, with Waters, Cameron and Allan fitting that profile.
