Heerenveen beat Telstar 3-0 at the Abe Lenstra Stadion to rise from eighth to sixth in the Eredivisie play-off places.
In the 24th minute, Lasse Nordas finished from close range to break the deadlock, moments after Ronald Koeman had denied Maxence Rivera.
After the restart, Rivera doubled the lead (56.) with a low strike from outside the box, created by Jacob Trenskow following a set piece.
Trenskow then swept in a third (71.) from Joris Overeem's pass to seal the points.
Bernt Klaverboer made six saves to preserve the clean sheet as the visitors pushed. Telstar mustered 20 attempts and delivered 22 crosses but found no way through.
The visitors also lost Nökkvi Þórisson to an early injury, with Kay Tejan coming on before the opener. Heerenveen were efficient at the other end, registering nine shots on target from 12 attempts.
Next, Heerenveen visit NEC Nijmegen. Telstar host PSV.
