Tommaso Baldanzi is one of the players who could change hands in the upcoming January transfer window.
The young Giallorossi attacking midfielder, who has found limited space in Gasperini’s squad, is being eyed by several teams, but Verona in particular seem serious about signing him.
As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, after a failed attempt last summer, the Verona club has decided to try again.
Hellas Verona coach Paolo Zanetti is a great admirer of the player, having coached him during his time at Empoli, and appreciates his technical qualities and ability to play between the lines.
Verona’s goal is to bring in a player who can bring unpredictability and skill to the attacking midfield, to strengthen the team in its bid to avoid relegation.
The Gialloblù are proposing a loan deal with an option to buy, a deal that had already been discussed during the summer transfer window, but was not reached.
Now, Hellas Verona appears ready to resume negotiations, assuming Roma is willing to open the door to Baldanzi’s departure.
Verona isn’t the only club interested in Baldanzi. Other teams are also closely monitoring the attacking midfielder’s situation. Genoa, Pisa, and Parma are ready to monitor the negotiations and intervene if the player is put on the market.
