After a round of negotiations that dragged on longer than one was expecting, it appears Paris Saint-Germain have finally made a breakthrough in Pedro Fernandez ‘Dro’ talks.

This has been confirmed by Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, who has given his customary ‘here we go’ for the transfer.

Romano confirms that Dro will join PSG imminently, in what could be a massive blow for Barcelona and its youth department.

Details of Dro’s move to Barcelona

Romano has also offered details of Dro’s move to PSG, confirming that everything has been sealed after ‘positive talks’ between the two parties.

The journalist adds that the total fee of the operation will be slightly higher than the €6 million release clause, which falls in line with news reports earlier.

This comes after Dro, who was considered one of the most talented players to come out of La Masia in recent years, made the decision to leave Barcelona.

Shortly after his decision, PSG immediately emerged as the frontrunner to sign the Spaniard, despite initial interest from clubs like Borussia Dortmund.

Romano adds that PSG have had an agreement with Dro since last week. They only needed to finalise things with Barcelona.

Now that everything is done, Dro is free to join PSG immediately and start a new chapter in his career. The youngster will become the second high-profile La Masia talent in recent years to settle for a move to PSG after Xavi Simons.

While Barcelona were negotiating the exit of Dro, the club were hard at work bringing in reinforcements in the youth team, with the team notably close to acquiring talents such as Patricio Pacifico, Hamza Abdelkarim and even Yusuf Rassul Ndjai.
