Mario Hermoso is rapidly recovering from the injury sustained during the match against Torino.
The signs are positive, and according to Il Tempo, the Spaniard is already aiming to return to action next week against Udinese, an earlier return than initially expected.
Initially, it was thought the defender would only be available between the matches against Napoli and Cremonese, but his recovery is now progressing more quickly, and he could therefore be available for the February 2nd match.
Conversely, there are concerns about the condition of Manu Koné, who suffered a problem with his right leg flexor during last night’s match against AC Milan.
Tests scheduled for today will clarify the extent of the injury, but initial findings suggest a potential lesion, with consequent recovery time that could keep him out of action for several weeks.
In his place, Gasperini will partner Cristante with either Pisilli or El Aynaoui, both of whom are in excellent form after their brace against Stuttgart and their sensational Africa Cup of Nations performance.
